Your privacy is important to us at eBureau, LLC.  This Privacy Policy explains how eBureau, LLC collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit or use this website or online service.  Please take a moment to read this Privacy Policy to determine how your personal and other information may be treated and used while taking advantage of our online service. 

REQUEST YOUR PERSONAL DATA REPORT.
If you are an individual consumer and can provide us with proper identity verification, you may request and we will provide you with a copy of your personal data report, which is a representation of the offline data maintained on the eBureau system and used in the various eBureau products and services (“Data Report”).  eBureau will run a search of its system to retrieve your data, which may include the personally identifiable information you included in your request and alternate content that is associated with such request information.  The Data Report may include your personal information but would not include aggregate non-personal information, such as information from the U.S. Census or information gathered at a neighborhood level.  

eBureau endeavors to maintain only true and accurate consumer information.  Please note, however, that eBureau secures its information from a variety of third party sources.  Neither eBureau nor its employees, directors, agents, licensors, third party information providers, or vendors warrant that the information is accurate or error free.  If you have concerns regarding the accuracy of the information in the Data Report, or use of such information, you may Opt Out.

OPT OUT STATUS.
If you are an individual consumer and can provide us with proper identity verification, you may request to Opt Out, which means eBureau will not use the information contained in your Data Report in its provision of marketing products and services.   Keep in mind, however, eBureau will need to use the information contained in your Opt Out Request for the purpose of flagging your Opt Out status in the eBureau system and notifying eBureau’s customers of your Opt Out status from marketing.  Please note that your Opt Out status will only apply to the information you included in your Opt Out Request.  For example, eBureau’s system may not recognize a nickname or prior address not included in the Opt Out request.  Your Opt Out status is for a point in time so if you experience a life event, such as a name or address change, you will need to update your Opt Out status.  To update your status, you must submit a new Opt Out Request and include your new information.  It may take up to five business days for eBureau to update its systems to reflect your Opt Out status, and keep in mind that Opt Out status is prospective in nature, which means eBureau will not use the information contained in your Data Report going forward.  eBureau cannot retroactively assign Opt Out status.

COMMERCIAL USE.
This Privacy Policy only applies to information collected on this website.  If your business has purchased or applied for use of eBureau services, please see the terms of your eBureau Services Agreement or confidentiality agreement, which applies to the information we collect about existing and prospective customers and alliances, through the eBureau services and any other medium.  Your “eBureau Product Information Request” submission on the website is considered commercial use for purposes of this Privacy Policy.

COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION.
eBureau may collect information that identifies you as an individual, such as your name, address, email and phone number, in response to your request for information or action.  

COLLECTION OF OTHER INFORMATION.
eBureau also collects and aggregates other information that does not reveal your specific identity and does not directly relate to an individual.  This information generally includes IP address, domain name, length of time spent on the website, and pages accessed while on the website, and is used to facilitate system and website administration, and improve the website, user experience and customer service.  eBureau also seeks to place a cookie, which is a small data file, on your computer’s hard drive for the sole purpose of allowing eBureau’s server to identify your computer when you visit the website again.  The cookie is not used to access or store personal information.  eBureau also uses session ID and persistent cookies.  The session ID cookie is only active while you are on the website, so once you close your browser, the cookie will terminate.  The persistent cookie remains on your hard drive for an extended period of time.  You can remove persistent cookies by following the instructions provided in your Internet browser’s help file.  eBureau’s use of cookies does not enable third parties to access any of your personal information.  eBureau uses cookies for information collection purposes, including but not limited to, estimating audience size, tracking visits, measuring traffic patterns, monitoring referring/exit pages, identifying web browsers and types of computers used, recoding number of invalid entries, advertisement leads, and additional information.  Information recorded by our cookies will be stored in our system’s database and associated with your personal information.

USE OF INFORMATION.
eBureau uses the information it gathers via the website for a variety of business purposes and only where permissible under applicable laws and regulations. Generally your information is used for the purpose for which you provided the information, or for the operation and improvement of the website and eBureau services, and to notify you of offers, new features, eBureau changes, or updates to the website.  We will share your information, including personal information, only as set forth in the Disclosure of Information section of this policy.

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION.
Except as provided herein, eBureau will not sell your information.  eBureau will share information from and about you:  (1) as may be required pursuant to lawful requests or in compliance with applicable laws; (2) to protect our interests, the website, or other users; (3) as part of the sale of eBureau or its assets; (4) with its parent or subsidiaries; (5) with third parties for the limited purpose of complying with your Opt Out Request, or to assist in having information added to a do not email or do not call suppression file; and (6) with our third party providers.  We may also share non-personal information we collect on an aggregate or anonymous basis for various business purposes, where permissible.

LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES.
We may provide links to websites that are owned or operated by other companies (“third party websites”).  When you use a link online to visit a third party website, you will be subject to that website’s privacy policy and security practices.  eBureau does not control these third party websites and is not responsible for any content contained on any such website.  

SECURITY.
We seek to use reasonable electronic, physical, technical, and procedural safeguards to protect and limit access to the information you provided to us via this online service.  Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure.  Additionally, please note that information you send to us electronically may not be secure when it is transmitted to us because we do not control the security of your delivery channel.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY.Our online services are not intended for children, and eBureau provides no products or service geared towards children.  Our website at www.ebureau.com does not knowingly solicit or collect personal information online from children under age 13.  However, eBureau does gather and collect information regarding the use of our web site as described in this Privacy Policy.

MAINTENANCE OF SERVICES - US ONLY.
The services are maintained by us in the United States are not intended to subject us to the laws or jurisdictions of any state, country or territory other than that of the United States.  Our online services are intended for a United States audience.

CHANGES TO PRIVACY POLICY.
We may change this Online Privacy Policy at any time.  Any changes will become effective when we post the revised Online Privacy Policy.  Your use of the online services following these changes means that you accept the revised Online Privacy Policy
